以国际文化交流, 展现东方美学与中华文化的当代表达
纽约，2026年9月10日——当地时间9月10日，“玉兰花开・旗韵绽放——国际文化交流”活动在纽约联合国总部四楼主代表团宴会厅举行。来自国际组织和文化机构、政府及社区、艺术界以及中美文化交流领域的嘉宾出席活动。
本次活动由世界夫人基金会、上海海派旗袍文化促进会共同主办，以海派旗袍为文化纽带，围绕中华传统文化、当代艺术表达与国际文化交流展开分享与展示。
活动通过嘉宾致辞、文化分享、文化礼赠、海派旗袍文化展演以及晚间交流晚宴等形式，为不同文化背景的嘉宾搭建交流互动的平台。
以文化为桥，促进文明交流互鉴
活动首先由世界夫人基金会主席、联合国第62届大会主席斯尔吉安·凯里姆博士（Dr. Srgian Kerim）致欢迎辞。上海海派旗袍文化促进会会长沈慧琴致感谢辞，对各界嘉宾及文化机构的参与和支持表示感谢。第81届联合国大会主席卡利勒·拉赫曼（Khalilur Rahman）发来贺信，并由其办公室主任迪布里尔·迪亚洛博士（Dr. Djibril Diallo）代为宣读。纽约州众议员郑永佳（Lester Chang）向世界夫人基金会创始人黄安妮和上海海派旗袍文化促进会会长沈慧琴颁发了嘉奖令并进行了主题演讲。活动同时围绕可持续发展投资、时尚教育等议题开展专题分享，进一步探讨文化、艺术、教育与全球发展的交汇与连接。
海派旗袍：传统文化的当代表达
海派旗袍是中国传统服饰文化与上海城市文化相融合的重要文化表达。
旗袍在传承传统服饰工艺与审美理念的同时，也不断吸收现代设计、面料及艺术表现方式，在传统与现代之间形成持续的文化对话。
对于上海而言，海派旗袍所体现的不仅是服饰之美，也承载着上海开放、包容、多元、兼收并蓄的城市文化特质。
此次活动将海派旗袍带入国际文化交流场景，通过服饰、艺术与舞台表达，让传统文化以更加当代、多元的方式与世界不同文化背景的观众进行交流。
文化礼赠传递友好与美好愿望
活动现场举行文化礼赠仪式。
上海海派旗袍文化促进会向联合国教科文组织代表赠送三件具有中国传统服饰文化特色的旗袍，以传统服饰为文化载体，表达友好情谊与文化交流的美好愿望。
这一文化礼赠不仅展示中国传统服饰工艺，也体现对文化多样性、相互尊重以及不同文明交流互鉴的共同珍视。
海派旗袍文化展演呈现东方美学
活动的重要环节——海派旗袍文化展演，通过旗袍、音乐、舞蹈和情景表演等多种艺术形式，呈现海派旗袍文化的当代魅力。
展演依次呈现：
《时光的步履》——情景表演
通过舞台艺术展现时间、记忆与文化传承之间的关系。
《摩登舞·华尔兹》——舞蹈
以现代舞蹈语言展现旗袍所蕴含的优雅与动态之美。
《上海谣》——旗袍舞蹈
以艺术化的舞台表达呈现上海城市文化气质。
《花开中国》——合唱
以音乐表达中华文化的多元之美以及对美好未来的共同期许。
四个节目将传统服饰与当代舞台艺术相结合，在东方美学与现代艺术表达之间建立新的文化连接，展现中国女性优雅、自信、从容的时代风采。

展演之后，活动进入文化交流、嘉宾互动及晚宴环节。

Shanghai Qipao Takes Center Stage at The Delegates Dining Room at the United Nations
International Cultural Exchange Highlights Cultural Diversity, Dialogue and the Contemporary Expression of Chinese Heritage
NEW YORK, September 10, 2026 — An international cultural exchange event, “Magnolia in Bloom, Elegance in Motion,” was held today at the Delegates Dining Room at United Nations Headquarters in New York, bringing together representatives from international organizations and cultural institutions, government and community leaders, artists, and guests from China and the United States.
Co-hosted by the World Madam Foundation and the Shanghai Qipao Cultural Promotion Association, the event used Shanghai qipao as a cultural bridge to explore the connections between traditional Chinese heritage, contemporary artistic expression， and intercultural dialogue.
The event featured cultural presentations, keynote remarks, a cultural gift presentation, a Shanghai-style qipao showcase, and an evening reception, providing a platform for cultural exchange and people-to-people connection.
Culture as a Bridge for Dialogue
The program opened with welcome remarks by H.E. Dr. Srgjan Kerim, Chairman of the World Madam Foundation and former President of the 62nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (2007–2008).
Shen Huiqin, President of the Shanghai Qipao Cultural Promotion Association, delivered remarks of appreciation and welcomed guests and cultural representatives from diverse backgrounds.
The program continued with remarks and keynote presentations from distinguished guests. A congratulatory letter from H.E. Khalilur Rahman, President of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, was delivered and read on his behalf by Dr. Djibril Diallo, Chief of Staff to the President of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly. New York State Assemblymember Lester Chang presented citations to Anni Huang, Founder of World Madam Foundation, and Shen Huiqin, President of Shanghai Cheongsam Culture Promotion Association,
Additional presentations addressed perspectives on sustainable development investment and fashion education, reflecting the broader connections between culture, creativity, education and global development.
Shanghai-style Qipao: Tradition in Contemporary Expression
At the center of the event was Shanghai-style qipao, a distinctive expression of China’s sartorial heritage and Shanghai’s cosmopolitan cultural identity.
The qipao has evolved through a continuing dialogue between tradition and modernity. Its craftsmanship, silhouettes and decorative traditions preserve elements of Chinese cultural heritage, while contemporary interpretations incorporate new materials, design concepts and artistic languages.
For Shanghai, the qipao also reflects the city’s history of openness, cultural exchange and inclusiveness.
By bringing Shanghai qipao into an international cultural setting, the event highlighted how traditional cultural expressions can be preserved while continuing to evolve and engage new audiences worldwide.
Cultural Gift Presentation
A cultural gift presentation was held during the event, featuring three qipao pieces representing the craftsmanship and cultural heritage of traditional Chinese dress.
The gifts were presented to a representative of UNESCO as a gesture of friendship and cultural exchange.
The presentation symbolized a shared appreciation for cultural diversity, mutual respect and dialogue among cultures, while offering traditional Chinese craftsmanship as a tangible expression of friendship.
Shanghai-style Qipao Cultural Showcase
The afternoon program culminated in a Shanghai-style Qipao Cultural Showcase, combining fashion, music, dance, and theatrical performance.
The showcase featured four artistic presentations:
** Steps Through Time — Theatrical Performance**
A theatrical interpretation exploring the passage of time and the relationship between heritage and contemporary life.
** Modern Waltz — Dance Performance**
A contemporary dance presentation incorporating the elegance, and movement associated with the qipao.
** Shanghai Ballad — Qipao Dance**
A performance inspired by the cultural character and artistic atmosphere of Shanghai.
** Flowers Bloom Across China — Choral Performance**
A musical celebration of China’s diverse cultural heritage and shared aspirations.
Together, the performances presented traditional Chinese dress through a contemporary artistic lens, demonstrating how fashion, and the performing arts can create new pathways for cultural dialogue.
The showcase also highlighted the elegance, confidence and contemporary spirit of Chinese women, while presenting Shanghai-style qipao as a living cultural expression rather than simply a historical form of dress.
An Evening of Cultural Exchange and Friendship
Following the showcase, guests gathered for an evening of cultural exchange, interaction and dinner.
Representatives of cultural and community organizations, artists, international guests and other invited participants from the United States and China continued conversations in an informal setting.
The gathering provided an opportunity to share perspectives on qipao culture, women’s cultural expression, the arts and future possibilities for international cultural cooperation.
