Job Title: Journalist & News Editor

China TV Media Group (USA), Inc. dba HTTV (https://httv.us/) is a television & special event production company and broadcasting service provider. Our production base is in the nation’s largest Chinese community in the center of the San Gabriel Valley, near the City of Los Angeles & close to Hollywood. HTTV is the largest multi-media production base & entertainment production service center for the local Chinese community in the greater Los Angeles area. HTTV, headquartered in Los Angeles, is a comprehensive media organization in the United States, and building a bridge for Sino-US communication and exchange.

To continue providing it’s news broadcasting services, HTTV is recruiting qualified candidate for the post of Journalist & News Editor. The Journalist & News Editor will serve as the primary point of editing and reporting the local and international news
(especially those information about Sino-American issues and related to the local Chinese-language community in California)

In a quantitative breakdown, the Journalist & News Editor will perform the following duties:

 1.Editing (35% of the time)

  Analyze, compile, and publish Sino-American cultural and economic information related to the local Chinese-language community.

  Integrating news materials from Redbook Stock.com.

  Integrating news materials from other media sources.

 2.News Reporting (35% of the time)

  Local news coverage.

  Community news coverage.

 3.Coordination with HTTV’s news channels in other cities (10% of the time)

  San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

  New York and Chicago.

  International.

4.Collaboration on Various Events (10% of the time)

  Community events.

  Cultural and artistic events.

  Special/Theme-based events.

 5.Improvement of Advertising Systems (5% of the time)

  Adapting to new media environments.

  Adapting to vertical mobile media formats.

 6.Other Tasks (5% of the time)

  Other tasks as assigned by the company.

 Minimum Requirements :

  Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field;

  2 years’ working experience in media-related post(s);

  Deep understanding of the culture of both China and the USA;

  Strong knowledge in targeting Chinese American audience and familiar with their preference;

  Strong knowledge of multimedia production methods & personnel

 management.

Public Relations Specialists
